Engage and lead authentically through Strengths
Are you an ambitious professional leader who’s READY to lead authentically & create better results, just by being a better "YOU"?

You finally got the promotion you dreamed about. But now something's wrong.

Your desk is full. So is your to-do list. You want your team to be successful but there never seems like enough time in the day to help them. You don't want any of them to leave because deep down you know they are good people looking to do good work.
Picture
So many leaders think they can lead just by imitating leaders they worked with or admired over the years. It rarely works out. I've seen it first hand.

Leading a team demands a different mindset than being a team member. This isn't news. What new leaders get wrong is what they focus on.

So, where DO you start?
Few leaders know how to use their innate talents to authentically lead.
You can be the exception.
Down-to-earth conversations backed by research and data.
the Engaged Leader Effect is a coaching experience designed to help new leaders -- like you -- become (or stay) engaged in their work. It's based on Gallup's decades of research on leadership, engagement, and Strengths-based development.

Throughout your experience you'll explore and clarify how to focus and develop your innate talents to:
  • Approach your personal work with ease and enjoyment

  • Fulfill the four essential needs of followers

  • Better understand how your talents interact with your team's talents

  • Delegate projects & activities to others when your talents aren't the best fit.

  • Become a leader more people want to follow.
This is for you if you...
You're not ready if you ...
  • Want to engage with assessments that are actionable.

  • Can be vulnerable with your coach and your team.

  • Desire to define your own way of getting stuff done.

  • Want the best for your team.

  • Expect a personalized experience balanced against data-based approaches.

  • Wish to work with a local coach who understands New England attitudes and traditions.
  • Aren't willing to put in the work.

  • Aren't ready to change.

  • Want your coach to tell you what to do.

  • Are fine with being average.

  • Have no interest in supporting your team.

THE EXPERIENCE

THE PRE-WORK

Every great coaching experience should start by assessing your current situation. For this experience we'll start with:

ENGAGEMENT ASSESSMENT - What does your current work situation look and feel like. Who are your champions? What resources can you access? Where are the issues?

CLIFTONSTRENGTHS ASSESSMENT - Identifying your top 5 Talent themes is a critical step in understanding how you can, should, and best engage with your work.

GREEN LIGHT / RED LIGHT ASSESSMENT - we'll look at which activities and projects bring you energy and joy, and which ones deplete you.

THE COACHING

CLIFTONSTRENGTHS DEBRIEF -- There is a lot to unpack in the CliftonStrengths assessment reports. It helps to have a coach help you unpack it all. We''ll uncover what resonates and how you currently live your talents.

GREEN LIGHT GO -- Together, we'll explore the intersection of your talents with the activities that already bring you energy. Then we'll explore how you can use those activities to further develop your talents into STRENGTHS.

RED LIGHT STOP -- You'll never become more engaged with your work unless you develop approaches that address those activities which deplete you and don't take advantage of your talents.

TRUST & STABILITY -- Your team need to trust you and know what they can count on. These are two essential elements of supporting those who you want to follow you. We'll explore how your talents can fulfill these needs.

COMPASSION & HOPE -- As your team strives for excellence they will falter. Identifying how you show and build compassion and ongoing hope through your talents will be essential to your success as a leader.

STRENGTHS DEVELOPMENT PLANNING - In our final two sessions we'll take an in-depth look at the projects, activities, and goals most important to you and develop a detailed plan that makes the most of your talents. In the process, we'll identify paths to develop your talents into Strengths!
